SHIELD WALL™ CORE panels achieve a sound attenuation of up to 17 dB (tested with an air compressor at 90 dB 8’ away), while the polycarbonate CLASSIC, and CLEAR, versions offer similar performance. Drywall and poly sheeting offer little to no sound reduction.
Compliance and safety features
SHIELD WALL™ CORE, CLASSIC, and CLEAR, systems exceed ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment) Class IV, up to Class V when paired with proper accessories. CORE, CLASSIC, CLEAR, and CONNECT exceed ASTM E84 Class A fire‑ and smoke‑rating standards. They can also be used with air scrubbing and pressure-monitoring systems to maintain safe airflow in healthcare environments.
