MODULAR HOARDING TO ISOLATE AND CONTAIN AIRBORNE PARTICLES RELEASED DURING CONSTRUCTION, RENOVATION, AND REPAIR ACTIVITIES

HEALTHCARE

HEALTHCARE CONSTRUCTION AND PATIENT ISOLATION

SHIELD WALL™ is a modern and complete solution for hoarding in healthcare environments. It is specifically designed for construction and patient area isolation, offering a reliable alternative to traditional containment methods. A primary benefit is its ability to minimize disruption to patients and staff through quick setup and tear-down. SHIELD WALLCLASSIC, CLEAR, and CORE panels* are engineered to comply with ICRA guidelines up to Class V, establishing a high standard for controlled healthcare settings.

The system provides several key advantages for healthcare:

  • Materials can be easily cleaned, decontaminated, and reused, promoting a hygienic solution while remaining cost-effective for ongoing healthcare applications.

  • Secure environment with lockable doors and hidden panel connectors, essential for maintaining privacy and controlled access within clinical areas.

  • Superior sound attenuation for containment areas, contributing to a quieter and more comfortable patient environment.

When used properly in conjunction with an Abatement Technologies® Differential Pressure Monitor and a Portable Air Scrubber, SHIELD WALL™ CLASSIC, CLEAR, and CORE panels can be used to build an anteroom to allow passage between rooms while maintaining negative pressure differentials.

*CONNECT panels do not meet ICRA standards.

ANTEROOMS

An anteroom is a small buffer space that helps control airflow and prevent the spread of contaminants between clean and contaminated areas. By maintaining positive or negative pressure, it supports a sterile environment which is especially critical for protecting vulnerable patients in healthcare settings.

By using Differential Pressure Monitors and Portable Air Scrubbers, anterooms can maintain necessary negative or positive pressure to help to contain dust, pathogens, and other airborne particles in the isolation or construction zones and prevent them from spreading to clean areas.
